Hidden History Of Nuclear Waste Disposal

The documentary looks at how we discarded thousands of tons of Nuclear Waste at sea during the 60's and 70's. The sea floors across Europe became a grave yard for some of the most dangerous chemicals as huge barrels were legally and illegally dumped. Greenpeace activists risked their lives to try stop the careless disposal of waste mainly from Nuclear power plants in Britain, France and Germany.

In shocking footage we see how members of Greenpeace tried to stop the barrels from being dropped from the large transport ships, they sat in small dinghies under the barrels but the barrels dropped regardless capsizing the dinghies and almost killing those aboard. Indeed we meet two of the men that were there the day the footage was shot who say they were captured and locked up on the ships. So just what parts of the sea are radioactive and what if any effects may that have in the future ?
